Links to electronic circuits, electronic schematics, designs for engineers, hobbyists, students & inventors:

S/PDIF to Analogue Converter - This is quite possibly the simplest S/PDIF receiver and DAC available. It uses the absolute minimum of parts, and also minimises the connections and control functionality usually provided. It is still a serious project, and is not recommended for beginners...(electronic circuit added 10/05)

Schematic of a Test Fixture for testing JFETs  - (electronic circuit added 08/08/08)

Settling Time of Operational Amplifiers - AN-359 Analog Devices Application Notes  (app note added 2/06)

Simple AV Audio/Video Wireless Transmitter - (electronic Circuit added 7/06)

Simple High Quality Hi-Fi Preamp - As it says, simple, high quality preamp. Has all the facilities normally expected  (added 5/07)

Simple megaphone 9 Volt - ….(design added 03/08)

Simple Surround Processor - Simple Surround Processor. This is built with only conventional parts, and digital delay block, too. So it is very easy to build.  (added 10/05)

Simple VOX circuit - (circuit added 6/07)

Simple warning signal - This power audio oscillator could be used as a warning signal for alarm systems or to attract attention if something is wrong with an equipment. The oscillator, about 750Hz, exploits the characteristic of certain NPN transistors, in this case a BC337, to oscillate if reverse biased and with the base open....(circuit added 05/08)

Simplified Audio Amp Model - ...(spice design added 02/09)

SIM-The Simple Version - The smallest variation in amplifier performance is shown with this simple circuit  (circuit added 6/07)

Single Amplifier 4 Band Passive EQ - (electronic circuit added 08/08/08)

Single Chip 50 Watt/8 Ohm Power Amplifier - Uses National Semiconductor LM3876 Power IC. Voltage gain is 27dB.  Voltage gain is 27dB as shown, but this can be changed by using a different value resistor for the feedback path (R3, currently 22k, between pins 3 and 9). The inductor consists of 10 turns of 0.4mm enameled copper wire, wound around the body of the 10 Ohm resistor. The insulation must be scraped off each end and the wire is soldered to the ends of the resistor. (added 10/05)

Single Chip 50 Watt/8 Ohm Power Amplifier sound.ad - Uses LM3876 Hi-Fi amplifier IC from National Semiconductor (added 6/03)

Single Ended Class A2 SV811 10 Stereo Amp - (electronic circuit added 1/03)

Single-ended driver for a Circlotron OTL - Originally, this circuit was driving a 6B4G PP output stage. Transformer-coupled, naturally. I started with cap-coupled Mullard splitter using three 4P1L direct-heated loktal pentodes. Not bad at all, but had insufficient gain. Then I tried a plain Loftin-White configuration with a LL1660 interstage (this one is a one-of-a-kind custom 30mA version...(schematic added 05/08)

Single-Ended OTL Amplifier for Dynamic Headphones - A simple OTL design that uses just two tubes (dual triodes) for stereo. It has a common cathode input stage direct-coupled to a cathode follower output stage.  Designed by Aren van Waarde  (circuit design added 03/08)

Siren circuit - This siren circuit simulates police, fire or other emergency sirens that produce an up and down wail.…(added 07/07/07)

Siren circuit (page 84) - This circuit was requested by several correspondents. Its purpose was to obtain more power than the siren circuit already available on ... (added 07/07/07)

Small Amplifier Circuit - Uses many amplifier ICs, from few-Watts to200-Watt (added 4/02)

Soft Start Circuit for Power Amps - Designed for (large) toroidal transformers, limit the inrush current to a sensible value.  (diagram added 6/03)

Sony C 37Condenser Microphone - information with circuit diagram (added 5/02)

Sound Card with PCM2702 - Make a sound card is no more a complex issue. If you use great IC PCM2702 from BURR BROWN / Texas Instruments you can create a fully functional USB sound card. This sound card can be…(added 08/08/08)

Sound Controlled Flip Flop - Described here is a very inexpensive solution to many phono-controlled applications like remote switching on, for instance, or activating a camera, tape recorder, burglar alarms, toys, etc. The circuit given here employs a condenser microphone as the pick-up. A two-stage amplifier built around a quad op-amp IC LM324 offers a good gain to enable sound pick-up upto four metres. ….  (added 10/05)
