Simple Balanced Mic Preamp - This is a "utilitarian" preamp. Although not intended
where lowest noise is needed, it is still quiet enough for most applications, and will
almost certainly be all that's needed for adding a microphone input to an amplifier or
powered speaker. (added 08/08/08)
Simple High Quality Hi-Fi Preamp - The new version has PCBs available, and is
recommended for the best sound quality….(schematic / circuit added 6/07)
Simple microphone preAmplifier #3 - This is a simple microphone preamplifier
circuit which you can use between your microphone and stereo amplifier. This circuit
amplifier microphone suitable for use with normal home stereo amplifier
line/CD/aux/tape inputs. This microphone preamplifier can take both dynamic and
electret microphone.... (added 4/05)
Sound Blaster Preamp: Fixes that Well Known Problem and Needs No Batteries - The
Sound Blaster 16 PCI and Sound Blaster 16 ISA do not have a very sensitive microphone
input. This little one transistor amplifier is powered directly from the microphone
jack on the sound card and has LOTS of gain. Just put a 100uF bypass capacitor in
parallel with the diode to increase gain even more. Note that sound cards .... (added
2/05)
Stereo Line Driver - Power Amp Stereo Line Driver - This preamplifier has a low
output impedance, and is designed to drive long cables, allowing you to listen to a
remote music source without having to buy expensive screened cables. The very low
output… (added 4/02)
Stereo Tape Head PreAmplifier for PC Sound Card - ere is a stereo tape head
preamplifier circuit for your PC sound card that can playback your favourite audio
cassette through the PC. Audio signals from this circuit can be...(electronic Circuit
/ Schematic added 10/04)
Transistor Audio PreAmplifier - This easy circuit provides good gain to week audio
signals. Use it in front of an RF oscillator to make an RF transmitter that is
very sensitive to sound. (Tony van Roon's circuit added 9/04)
Transistor Preamp - A versatileHigh Gain design. Can be Frequency compensatated
for Various applications including Dynamic MicrophonesTape and Phono
Applications....(design added 12/08)
UHF TV PreAmplifier - This circuit is designed to work at UHF frequencies in the
range 450-800MHz. It has a gain of around 10dB and is suitable for boosting weak TV
signals….(schematic added 9/02)
Universal Preamp/ Mixer - A small and versatile mixer and preamp, suitable for
many uses.(electronic circuit added 6/07)
Universal Preamp/ Mixer - Alternative wiring for the versatile mixer/ preamp,
suitable for many uses(electronic circuit added 6/07)
Vinyl Pre-Amplifier (Graham Maynard) - For those who might wish to 'save' to their
computer hard-drive a digital copy of their own vinyl record collection, I have
redrawn my 1975 vinyl pre-amplifier circuit. It remains....(electronic design added
6/07)
Zen Revisited Power Amplifier - The Zen (single-ended MOSFET) amplifier was
published by Nelson Pass in The Audio Amateur 1. In a subsequent issue of this
magazine, Nelson slightly improved the original design 2. I decided to build the
"Revisited" version with the following circuit modifications…(circuit added 05/08)
