Radio Frequency (RF) Transmitter Circuits

175KHz INDUCTIVE PULSE TRANSMITTER
This circuit is discussed in more detain in the Experimenters Journal. The transmitter’s six inch diameter coil launches powerful magnetic 175KHz ring pulses that can be detected by the circuit below.

Plastic Pipe Finder
I used this circuit once to track down the location of a plastic pipe, buried underground. It transmits a weak RF signal, which can be picked up by a portable AM radio from about 6 feet away. (added 12/04)
