Reducing Noise on Microcomputer Buses -  National Semiconductor Application Note  (app note added 2/06)
Reference Design: 13.56 MHz Reader Reference Design for the 13.56 MHz Read/Write Devices -  Microchip Application Note Published 20-May-04  (app note added 2/06)
Remote Control Encoder/Decoder with PIC16C620 & PIC12C508 -  (electronic circuit added 09/04) [Peter Jakab, Electrical Engineer, Engineer of Informatics]
Remote display -  Scroll down to find link to circuit drawing and circuit explanation….(circuit / schematic design added 09/06)
Remote RF Xmiter -  This device was built into a small (1 1/4 by 2 inch) Radio Shack project box. It features four push buttons which can produce 2 codes each. (Pushing a button for less than one second sends the first code, holding it for over one second sends the second code.) [Luhan Monat - Mesa Arizona]
REMOTE[RS232] using Easy-Server V0.9 -  Experiment the microcontroller with internet server. The Easy-Server provides simple means for connecting microcontroller through a 9600 8n1 serial interfacing. Exemplary circuit using PIC16F84 for REMOTE RS232 and experiment description were included. ….(design added 06/09)
Resistance & Capacitance Meter using a PIC 16C622 -  Microchip Application Note Published 26-Aug-97  (app note added 2/06)
Resistor Sub Box -  Commercial substitution boxes uses a lot of switches and a set of fixed resistors. The advantage is that they have a large range of resistance and work at higher voltages.  This device is only good for use in circuits of 12 volts or so but it is much smaller and cheaper....[Luhan Monat - Mesa Arizona]
RF Remote Controller -  Scroll down to find link to circuit drawing and circuit explanation….(circuit / schematic design added 09/06)
RGB LED colour wash light -  This PIC based circuit uses Red, Green and Blue high brightness LEDs that are pulse width modulated (PWM) to vary the intensity of each colour LED. This allows effectively any colour to be generated.  The circuit is designed to fit into a low voltage Halogen light fitting.  A look up table is used to program(added 11/05)
RLC circuits match transmission lines to loads -  04/10/97 EDN-Design Ideas....EDN is migrating links. This link is not verified.  Search the "title" EDN for new link.
Rolling code generator uses flash microController -  05/03/01 EDN-Design Ideas....EDN is migrating links. This link is not verified.  Search the "title" EDN for new link.

Rotating Sprocket Wheel Generator PIC16F84 -  (electronic circuit added 7/03)
Routine automates pattern/sequence detection -  16-May-02 Issue of EDN  Sequence detection is a common operation in many communication and security systems. Some good examples are HDLC-flag identification and signature analysis. As the complexity of the system increases, designing circuitry for sequence detection becomes tedious and laborious. Using the software tool in this Design Idea, you can generate HDL code in VHDL or Verilog formats for both Mealy and Moore....[Design Idea by K Venkatachalam, Murugesh Rajiah, and Vijayakrishnan Rousseau, Tata Elxsi Limited, KR Puram, Bangalore, India]
Routines directly measure microcontroller bus clock -  25-Oct-07 Issue of EDN  You can verify the bus frequency of the HC08 SCS08 microcontroller with simple control loops....[Design Idea by Kerry Erendson, Bulova Technologies]
RS232 Expander -  Simple hardware expands COM1 to COM1/1 and COM1/2.  ….(electronic schematic added 06/09)
RS-232 Xlater -  A simple terminal program on a PC can have a lot of uses.  The hang-up is that most of those uses involve communicating with a device running on 5 volts.  I've done several schemes over the years but this one is my favorites….. [Luhan Monat - Mesa Arizona]
