Digital Speed Control - Digital Speed Control with aSwitching rate
of 15KHz (circuit added 11/06)
Digital Speed Control for RC Car - DC motor PWM controller that
takes the1ms to2ms pulse from the RC receiver and converts it into a PWM
train at1Khz (added 5/02)
Dimmer/Motor Speed Control - Lamp dimmers using traics can be
quite simple, nothing more than a potentiometer, resistor, capacitor
and triac with a built-in diac. (See Teccor's application note for examples
and other technical data.) The circuit below is similar....(electronic
circuit added 7/03)
Discrete component motor direction controller - This circuit can
control a small DC motor, like the one in a tape recorder. When both the
points A & B are "HIGH" Q1 and Q2 are in saturation. Hence the bases of Q3
to Q6 are grounded. Hence Q3,Q5 are OFF and Q4,Q6 are ON .....
Dremel Speed - The circuit at right uses a logi-level N-channel FET driven
directly by the PIC. The PIC creates a variable PWM signal to power the
motor. Motor current is sensed using a combined 0.5 ohm resitance to ground.
Since this …. [Luhan Monat - Mesa Arizona]
Driving Bipolar Stepper Motors - The permanent magnet rotor has the same
number of pole pairs as the stator coil section. Interaction between the rotor and
stator (opposite poles attracting and like poles repelling) causes the rotor to move ¼
of a pole pitch per winding polarity change. Motors are available in either 2 coil
(bipolar) or 4 coil (unipolar) windings. In the unipolar ….(design added 11/08)
DSSSE: Dual Slope-Sampling Solar Engine - Voltage-Controlled Solar Engine:
The dual slope sensing SE is another Wilf Rigter design; this SE is optimized for
'bots with a low-power standby mode. (added 11/05)
Dual DC Motor Speed Controllers Navigate Robots - 03/29/01 EDN-Design
Ideas....Mobile robots need simple and lightweight dc-motor-speed-control hardware
that can work with low-power batteries. Flip-flop type navigation systems allow only
one motor to operate at a time while the other motor remains off. Navigation direction
changes....[Design Idea by Shyam Sunder Tiwari, Robotics Software Pvt Ltd, Gwalior,
India]
Dual Fan Controller - Each fan turns off when the temperature drops 5
degrees below its turn-on temperature. For example, if the dial is set to 80 degrees,
the fan turns on at 80 degrees and turns off at 75 degrees. This prevents the
fan from cycling on and off rapidly, which would occur if the fan turned on at 80,
started to cool the cabinet, and then immediately turned off at 79. ….(design added

Dual Fan Controller (David Cook) - A birthday present gone too far. An
overengineered temperature-based automatic twin fan controller with brass face to keep
a kitchen PC cool. (project added 11/06)
Dual Slope-Sampling Solar Engine - Voltage-Controlled Solar Engine: The dual
slope sensing SE is another Wilf Rigter design; this SE is optimized for 'bots with a
low-power standby mode. (added 11/05)
Dual Stepping Motor Drivers using UDN2540 - In this design we use two
UDN2540B to drive two stepping motors at the same speed. Each motor can be
independently controlled. The S1, S2 switches control the ON/OFF and the moving
direction of Motor1. The S3, S4 control the Motor2, respectively....(electronic
circuit added 4/05)
