A miniature high-rate speed control -  A miniature high-rate speed control published in  newsletter published by Electric Model Flyers' of Southwestern Ontario (diagram add
A miniature low-rate speed control -  A miniature low-rate speed control published in  newsletter published by Electric Model Flyers' of Southwestern Ontario (diagram added 11/06)
A Stereo Digital Volume Control based on the CS3310 -  The CS3310 is a complete stereo digital volume control designed specifically for audio systems. It features a 16-bit serial interface that controls two independent, lowdistortion audio channels. The CS3310 includes an array of well-matched resistors and a low noise active output stage....(data sheet added 07/07)
A worked Stepping Motor Example -  Perhaps some of the most commonly available stepping motors, for the experimenter, are the head positioning motors from old diskette drives. These can be found at electronics swap meets, in computer surplus outlets, and even in trash dumpsters. In addition to a stepper, a typical full-height 5.25 inch disk drive includes a 12 volt DC motor with tachometer....(Circuit design added 09/08)

AC Induction Motor Fundamentals -  Microchip Application Note Published 18-Dec-03  (app note added 2/06)
AC Servo Motor Windmill -  A windmill built around a 3 phase servo motor from an old welding robot.
AC Switching with TRIAC From TTL -  The MC3032 is an optoisolator TRIAC driver. The 180-ohm resistor sets the current for the LED emitter in the optoisolator. Change the value of this resistor, if necessary, to get reasonable curr....ASCII format circuit added 6/07)
ADC controls multiple stepper-motors -  09/14/00 EDN-Design Ideas....Typical stepper-motor control circuits use either logic gates and flip-flops or shift registers to generate the proper sequences of binary codes that produce bidirectional stepper-motor movement. A conventional stepper-motor-control circuit uses a square-wave generato....[Design Idea by K Suresh, Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research, Kalpakkam, India]
Adjustable Voltage Motor Controller -  One of the nice things about flying electric is you can test run your motor in the house, workshop, or in the yard and the neighbors won't complain. The problem is how to control the speed of the motor. One way is to use the plane, radio, and speed control with the motor in it. That's no fun!....(electronic circuit added 4/05)

ADT7463 Configurations -  AN-612 Analog Devices Application Note  (app note added 2/06)
Alternating CW & CCW Motor Driver -  A while back a company needed a motor controller for a custom door latching system.  The system used a small brush motor with a speed reduction gear to both latch and unlatch the door.  When pulsed for about 250ms in the clockwise direction, the motor would unlatch the door.  When spun in the opposite direction for 250ms, it would latch the door. The circuit below performs this function.  A single low power pushbutton is used to alternate between the two directions.  The circuit is powered by 4.5v using a battery made from three alkaline AA cells.  The motor draws about 250ma. The battery should provide many years of service. [Designed by David A. Johnson]
An Integrated Fan Speed Control Solution can Lower System Costs, Reduce Acoustic Noise, Power Consumption & Enhance System Reliability -  Microchip Application Note Published 24-Feb-03  (app note added 2/06)
