You better drop the frequency down to 120KHz to 175KHz. Otherwise you may get a visit from someone at the FCC, who will be wondering why you are splattering RF on the AM radio band.

You still may have a mismatch between the transmitter's resonant frequency and the receiver's resonant frequency. Use a scope and a signal generator to confirm the two.
