I have just a small bit of experience with building amplifiers with BJTs, JFETS, and MOSFETS. I have designed and built a few for lab classes that I've taken but none of them produce any serious wattage. I do have access to a very well equipped lab with many different capacitors inductors and resistors, as well as very good equipment. Money is not really a restriction but it can't be out of control.

Mainly what I'm looking for is a simple stereo. No equalization but possibly a bass control knob. I would like it to have great bass, since I like to feel relaxing music as well as hear it. Also, All around sound quality that is decent.

Do you have any recommendations for the different amps I will need to build and possibly schematics? Thanks for you help!
