Navigation - ST’s state of the art technologies and products are
key system enablers for advanced GPS positioning and navigation
applications. Besides a broad range standard product offering, ST offers a
cost optimized System On Chip solution that integrates: Digital to analog
and analog to digital converters, ATAPI, external memory interfaces
(SDRAM, SRAM, FLASH), serial interfaces, CAN interface and USB. A sampling
of ST products that are applicable to Navigation Systems can be found in
the following block diagram.
Network Wiring Tester - Like all its counterparts, this network
wiring tester comprises two elements, a transmitter unit, powered and
fitted at the network start point, and a receiver unit, passive, which can
be moved around from socket to socket. Each of these units carries eight
LEDs,….must register on this site... [Published in Elecktor July/August

Night Light Saver V3.2 - Now it's time for Microchip PIC12C508 8-pin
Microcontroller. The saver turns a night light on and off with preset time, no
battery backup, easy installation.(not recommended) (circuit added 09/09)
Night Light Saver V5.0 - I have designed a device that controls a night
light at home. The saver uses 2051 chip and a small triac. The saver features
low-cost, simple installation, no battery backup, and save energy. (circuit
added 09/09)
Novel idea implements low-cost keyboard - 3-Apr-03 Issue of EDN
Many applications that use a microcontroller also use a keyboard. If your
application uses a relatively powerful microcontroller, you can use several free
I/O pins or an unused input with an ADC to effect an easy keyboard connection.
But, if the microcontroller in your system has too few free I/O pins and no
on-chip ADC, you can be in trouble.... [Design Idea by Jean-Jacques Thevenin,

OverVoltage Protection for LM317 - This circuit is a modified version of
an original interface on QSL Net. It is a fully isolated interface allowing
computer control of the Trio/Kenwood R5000 receiver. Separate software is needed
to control the receiver....[submitted by Adam]
