Hobby Corner --  Introduction

I have compiled a number of circuits, projects and ideas for you, which I think will fall into a general “hobby” category.  For those who frequent this site, some of the material will look familiar as I borrowed some of it from the DC forum.
Plans for the future are to pull together interesting links to hobby circuits from around the world.  The emphasis will be for projects that perform some useful function.  Some of the gadgets included might be suitable for the home or office. I personally prefer those which can’t be done or are too expensive with commercial devices.  I'll look for circuits that use a device in an unusual way or circuits that use a little known sensor.  I also include projects which demonstrate physical laws of science.    Others might be examples of a specific concept suitable for senior science fair projects.
I also want to include some projects in the area of solar energy and some useful devices for any serious electronics lab bench.  In addition, I’ll share with you some of the techniques I have used over the last 40 years to construction 1000s of circuits and prototypes.
I will try and add new material as often as I have time.  I would love to hear from you. Tell me what you would like to see.  Perhaps you have your own favorite hobby type project which can be highlighted here.
