Gateway - (application / block diagram added 6/07)
Good Old Parking Sonar - This was one of my first designs: it is an ultrasonic parking sonar.  Based on an ultrasonic amplifier from an article seen on a 1982 magazine, it was once installed on the rear bumper of my Volvo Station Wagon. It served very well for many years. Connecting it to the reverse gear lights, it switches on automatically and shows you the distance to the nearest obstacle (according to his beam) on a led scale. When the last led lights, a buzzer is also activated telling you to stop immediately....(added 06/05)
Grand Cherokee Off Highway Lights - (circuit design added 8/03)
Head Lamp control by the shifting lever - This circuit causes the operation only when the head lamp is lighted by 'IC Con-Light'. Because, in the case of operation by the usual lamp switch( combination swtch ), it is to do as the head lamp ….(added 04/05/06)

Headlights Timer - Pushbutton activated Very simple circuitry (added 3/05)
Highway Alert Signal Lamp - (electronic Circuit / Schematic added 10/04)
Hijack Alarm (Ron J) - The first circuit was designed for the situation where a hijacker forces the driver from the vehicle. If a door is opened while the ignition is switched on, the circuit will trip. After a few minutes delay, when the thief is at a safe distance, the alarm will sound and the engine will fail....(added 10/05)
Improvement of the power window switch - Most of the car in Japan( probably your country also ) are equipped with the power window. The power window does not operate when the engine is stopped.

Inside Story: Audison LR604XR Amplifier (Car Audio) - Of the few car amplifiers I tested, gutted, decyphered and fixed, this one seems to be the best in design quality. Too many car amps (although solidly built) are apparently designed by computer class students, too many traces, too many vias, absolutely wrong component placement etc. And on schematic level, their different functional parts look like a newspaper clip collection. If the amp ….(circuit design added 03/08)

It slides into a CD drive bay, and only needs a single standard power connector. The project is a light display which imitates the dot in KITT's hood.... (design idea added 08/08/08)
Knight Rider Lights - The 555 timer IC is connected for Astable Operation, the clock pulses are fed to the 4017 IC via the 10K resistor. The 4017 is a 10 stage counter, each of the outputs is connected to the appropriate LED, as some LEDs need to be on for more than one count, we use diodes to avoid a short circuit....(added 6/07)
Knight Rider Look-a-like Lights - (design added 05/06/07)
LED 12 Volt Lead Acid Battery Meter - In the circuit above, a quad voltage comparator (LM339) is used as a simple bar graph meter to indicate the charge condition of a 12 volt, lead acid battery. A 5 volt reference voltage is connected.... (added 05/06/07)

Motorcycle Alarm - Any number of normally open switches may be used. Fit the mercury switches so that they close when the steering is moved or when the bike is lifted off its side-stand or pushed forward off its centre-stand. Use micro-switches to protect removable panels and the lids of panniers etc...(circuit design added 8/03)
Motorcycle Alarm No.3 (Ron J) - This circuit features an intermittent siren output and automatic reset. It can be operated manually using a key-switch or a hidden switch; but it can also be wired to set itself automatically when you turn-off the ignition. By adding external relays you can immobilize the bike, flash the lights etc.....(circuit design added10/05)
Motorcycle Alarm Number 4 - This is a simple easy to build transistor based motorcycle alarm. It's designed to work at 12-volts. But if you change the relay for one with a 6-volt coil it'll protect your "Classic Bike". The standby current is virtually zero so it won't drain your battery. (added 10/05)
Motorcycle Alarms Numbers 5 & 6 - These are two easy to build relay-based alarms. You can use them to protect your motorcycle but they have many more applications. If you use relays with 6-volt coils they'll protect your "Classic Bike". Both alarms are very small. The completed boards occupy about half a cubic-inch 8 cc. Of particular interest is the unconventional autoformer PS arrangement. Since the power FET's drains are not tied to ground anymore, it needs another transformer to drive gates....(circuit design added 04/05/06)
NESblinky-Nintendo Controller Bike Flasher - I saw the "Light Up Your Ride" contest, and I pondered about what could be re-purposed to increase the visibility of my bike, all while hopefully blinding a motorist or two into a fit of retro rage. I happened upon an old broken Nintendo controller, which made me think of all the superfluous NES controller mods I had seen before. This sparked a....(07/07/07)
