UCC3809 Evaluation Module -  The UCC3809EVM evaluation module is an isolated 10-W, 3.3-V converter designed for telecom input voltages, nominally -48 VDC, but ranging from -32 VDC to -75 VDC. The UCC3809 economy...
UCC3819 250-W PFC Boost Follower PreRegulator Design -  This is an App Note that describes a reference design.  This paper reviews the benefits of a boost follower topology and the design of a 250-W PFC boost follower preregulator. (added 3/05)
UCC38C42 25-Watt Self-Resonant Reset Forward -  This is an application note that describes a reference design.  This reference design presents a self-resonant reset forward converter using the UCC38C42 BiCMOS Low-Power Current-Mode PWM Controller.....
Ultra Low Drop Linar Regulator
 -  MOSFET based linear voltage regulator with a voltage drop of as low as 60 mV at 1 ampere. Drop of a fewer millivolts is possible with better MOSFETs having lower RDS(on) resistance. The circuit in Fig. 1 uses 15V-0-15V....
Ultra-Low Dropout Regulator -  DN32  Design Notes (Linear Technology) (app note added 1/06)
Ultra-low-noise low-dropout regulator achieves 6-nV/√Hz noise floor -  23-Jun-05 Issue of EDN  LDO has ultralow-noise output.... [Design Idea by Ken Yang, Maxim Integrated Products Inc, Sunnyvale, CA; Edited by Brad Thompson and Fran Granville]
[Google-ADS/i-ad-ODD-2SQ-GGL.htm]
Universal DC-to-DC Converter -  This circuit will generate a smaller DC output voltage from a larger DC input voltage. It is quick and simple to make and by changing the value of the zener diode, the circuit can be universally adapted to provide other output voltages. The circuit and all diagrams represent a DC convertor with 12V battery input and 9Volt DC output.(electronic schematic / circuit added 4/02)
Universal PSU -  Circuit designed by Volker Jeschkeit.  A Universal Power supply based on the L200 regulator, which includes an outboard pass transistor to boost output currents up to 4 amps.  (added 11/05)
Use a TL431 shunt regulator to limit high ac input voltage -  25-Oct-07 Issue of EDNThis circuit clamps input-ac voltages to levels safe for the operation of the power MOSFET in an SMPS.... [Design Idea by Todor Arsenov, STMicroelectronics, Prague, Czech Republic]
Using The LM317T To Regulate Voltage -  Use an LM317T to regulate voltage in renewable energy projects…. [REUK - Renewable Energy UK website]
Variable 3 - 24 Volt / 3 Amp Power Supply -  This regulated power supply can be adjusted from 3 to 25 volts and is current limited to 2 amps as shown, but may be increased to 3 amps or more by selecting a smaller current sense resistor (0.3 ohm). The 2N3055 and 2N3053 transistors should be mounted on suitable heat sinks and the current sense resistor should be rated at 3 watts or more. Voltage regulation is controlled by 1/2 of a 1558 or 1458 op-amp. The 1458 may be substituted in the circuit below, but it is recommended the supply voltage to pin 8 be limited to 30 VDC, which can be accomplished by adding a 6.2 volt zener or 5.1 K....….Page has several circuits, please scroll to find this one. [Bill Bowden's website]
Variable 3 to 24 Volt/3 Amp Power Supply -  regulated power supply can be adjusted from3 to25 volts and is current limited (added 5/02)
Variable DC Power Supply -  Voltage range is 0.7 to 24V.  Current limiting range: 50mA, 2A.  (electronic circuit added 06/07/08)
Variable Dual Lab Power Supply -  can supply from +/-1.2V up to about +/-25V, will current limit at around 800mA (added 5/02)
Variable load tests voltage sources -  19-Jul-01 Issue of EDN  The circuit in Figure 1 serves as a variable, current-sink load for testing voltage sources. You use digital commands to set the load current of the device under test over a wide range, independent- ly of the device under test's output voltage. The circuit comprises an AD558 DAC, IC1, which provides a reference voltage at Point A.... [Design Idea by Michele Frantisek, Brno, Czech Republic]
