A Simple Circuit Car Battery Charger psimages - This very simple circuit uses a transformer , two diodes , a capacitor and an ammeter. To charge a battery just connect+ and terminals of circuit to corresponding terminals of battery. When battery is not charged, ammeter reading shows 1-3 amps|

Add Charging Status to Simple Circuit Lithium-Ion Charger - 2-Oct-08 EDN-Design Ideas By adding a few simple components to a single-cell Li-ion charger IC, you can get LEDs that indicate charging and charge completed Design by Peter T Miller, Applied Inspirations, Bethlehem, CT
Advanced Topology USB Battery Charger Optimizes Power Utilization for Faster Charging - Design Notes 336: The LTC4055 seamlessly manages power flow between an AC adapter, USB cable and Li-Ion battery, all while maintaining USB power specification compliance. __ Linear Technology/Analog Devices
Alkaline Battery Charger - This circuit was specifically designed to recharge alkaline cells. The unusual connection of the transistor in each charging unit will cause it to oscillate, on and off, thus transferring the charge accumulated in the capacitor to the cell. The orange LED will blink __ Designed by di Domenico Di Mario
Amplified Zener - A 13 volt Zener diode will work well for charging a 12 volt battery on Standby use. Or use a 14 volt zener a diode for a Standard 14.6 volt charge. __ Designed by G.L. Chemelec

Another Battery Charger for small battery's or battery Packs - This Trickle Charger is Both Current and Voltage Regulated for Sealed Lead Acid or NiMH
types. It uses a Wall Adapter as the main Power Source and Can charge a 6 or 12 Volt ones. __ Designed by G.L. Chemelec
Atmel Solar Panel Battery Charger - Batwatch is a simple monitor for a solar panel battery charger, using an Atmel ATtiny13V. It periodically measures the charge current and battery voltage, and shows them by blinking two LEDs. I built this circuit into the plug of a VW solar charger panel that is used to prevent a discharge of the battery when a car is not used for some time. A modern car contains a large amount of electronics, and a quiescent current of 40-50mA (about 1Ah per day!) is considered "normal".

Automatic 12V Lead Acid Battery Charger - This charger will charge any 12V lead acid battery including flooded, gel and AGM. It is fully automatic and will charge at a rate up to about 4A until the battery voltage reaches a preset point at which it will switch to a very low current float charge. If the battery voltage drops again the charger will begin charging until the voltage once again reaches the cut off point. In this way it can be left connected to a battery indefinitely to maintain full charge without causing damage. An LED indicates when the battery is fully charged. __ Designed by Aaron Cake
Automatic 12V Lead-Acid Battery Charger - schematic only, no circuit description at this time __ Designed by Andrew R. Morris
Automatic 3-Phase Induction Motor Starter - Starters for 3-phase squirrel-cage induction motors often use star-to-delta converters. The stator coils of the motor are connected in star configuration at the time of power-on and switched to delta configuration __ Electronics Projects for You
Automatic 9-Volt NiCad Battery Charger - BR1 can be a bridge rectifier or four diodes (10A) with a 100 PIV rating. A 10, 000uF/50V electrolytic capacitor completes the filtering of the 28.8V. Yep, C1 is a real clunker. You can use larger if you like, just watch it when you power up. Without a 'power-up' delay circuit of sorts it will probably blow-up the 723 if the capacitor (C1) is too-large. __ Designed by Tony van Roon VA3AVR
Automatic AA Charger - Rechargeable batteries are very popular for use in all sorts of devices, especially those requiring a high current. The most common type of cell is the AA or penlight and although thousands have been sold, there are very few low-cost chargers to keep them in tip-top condition. Most of them simply charge them at the slow rate and never turn off, you have to remember __ Designed by Collin Mitchell
Automatic Charger for Battery Operated Hi-Fi Preamps - For those who want the cleanest possible DC for sensitive preamps, battery power is ideal. At last, remembering to turn the charger back on is no longer a problem! This project is one for the experimenter, but as shown will work extremely well. The sensing circuit can be made so sensitive that a load of only 2.5mA is enough for the circuit to detect, and disconnect the charger. __ Designed by Rod Elliott ESP
Automatic Trickle Charger - Scroll down to find this circuit. Here is the schematic for the automatic charger I have been using for my kids' battery cars. The charger is a small molded unit that probably doesn't supply more than an amp and this circuit would have trouble with much more. No current limit is provided by this circuit __ Contact: Charles Wenzel of Wenzel Associates, Inc. |
