LED Sequencer - The model 4017 integrated circuit is a CMOS counter with ten
output terminals. One of these ten terminals will be in a "high" state at any given
time, with all others being "low," giving a "one-of-ten" output sequence. If
low-to-high voltage pulses are applied to the "clock" (Clk) terminal of the 4017, it
will increment its count, forcing the next output into a "high" state(circuit added

Lighthouse LED Flasher - This was originally designed for a model in a HO
train set. It simulates the behavior of the light from a lighthouse. The
LED intensity gradually increases, then flashes with a bright light and finally
decreases slowly in intensity. …. [Designed by David A. Johnson] |

Lighting Third Brake Light - This circuit is NOT a pulser or flasher! What's
so special about this circuit? Well, the first third-brake light I installed I had to
pull a wire from the Third Brake Light all the way underneath the carpet to the
brake-pedal-switch and I thought it would be easier to pluck the signal of both
brakelights via the trunk. Bench-test your circuit first and apply power to the
circuit,.... [Tony van Roon's circuit] |

Line Power Flasher - Scroll down to find circuits. Great for Christmas
lights, etc. Here is an unusual flasher circuit for 120VAC loads. The circuit is
similar to the two-transistor flasher seen in several circuits in techlib.com except
that an SCR is used…..... |

Low Power 10 LED Sequential Flasher
A while back I posted a flasher circuit which flashed 10 LEDs sequentially. That
circuit was powered by four AA alkaline cells. The circuit below operates much
the same way but has been modified to run from a single 3v CR2032 lithium coin cell.
The average battery current drain is a low 400uA. Yet, by using some super
bright green surface mounted LEDs from King Bright, the effect is quite impressive
even if each LED is driven with only 2ma of current........ |

Low Battery Voltage Flasher - This circuit is designed to monitor two
alkaline cells (3v) that from the battery often used in portable electronic equipment.
It use an inexpensive IC from Panasonic that is connected to an efficient LED flashing
circuit. When the battery voltage drops below a certain point the circuit flashes the
LED. In the off state the circuit draws only 1uA, while in the active flashing state
it draws 20uA. Published in EDN, Jan 2, 1997 …. [Designed by David A. Johnson] |
