Flyback Transformer Driver - This is by far the best project for someone who is already familiar with High Voltage, but wants to take their experiments to the next level: It requires very little previous experience and skills with soldering and identifying components, and there are virtually no adjustments to be made. The danger is minimal, as fly back transformers are intrinsically low power devices, not capable of outputting lethal currents (due to the hair-thin secondary windings) , and yet it will give a careless experimenter a nasty RF burn if he accidentally touches the HV wire (nothing beats learning from your mistakes) . If you have never experimented with HV before though, I recommend you start off with an electrostatic project. This circuit is not a toy! __ Contact: Sam Barros
Forcible latch module - This is set-reset latch: it is a 'personality module for 4QD-TEC transistorised relay system. Glowplug Driver for Radio Control - An on/off switch is not required for the glowplug driver since it only draws current when a glowplug is attached. As a matter of fact, the circuit is only powered (via Q1) via a connected glowplug. Just in case you were wondering how the positive (+) side of the circuit is connected. The starter motor runs directly from the flight box battery, via the jacks on the power-panel, and has it's own on/off switch. Same scenario for the fuel pump, but includes a reverse switch to pump the fuel in or out the tank/cannister __ Designed by Tony van Roon VA3AVR

GPS LCD Display Project - This is a project that I started back late 2003 when I just starting to learn PIC programming. I wanted to building something that actually did somthing useful. This project is based on a PIC16F84. I actually came up with this idea and then after doing some searching I found that a few people had the same idea. But, I wanted to build my own that I could call mine, developed by me. The whole idea is, I have several GPS units with no display __ Designed by Jason KE4NYV from Roanoke, Virginia
H-Bridge - This circuit drives a motor clockwise / anticlockwise via a 10k to 100k pot. __ 555-Timer
H-Bridge drives DC Motors - This circuit drives small DC motors up to about 100 watts or 5 amps or 40 volts, whichever comes first. Using bigger parts could make it more powerful. Using a real H-bridge IC makes sense for this size of motor, but hobbyists love to do it themselves, and I thought it was about time to show a tested H-bridge motor driver that didn't use exotic parts __ Designed by Bob Blick

High-side driver has fault protection - 09/05/02 EDN-Design Ideas High-side drivers find common use in driving grounded solenoid coils and other loads. Short-circuit protection for such drivers is essential for avoiding damage from wiring faults and other causes. Polymer fuses are generally too slow, and discrete current-limiting circuits are large and cumbersome. Impulse Changeover Switch - So what on earth is an 'impulse changeover switch'? Easya switch which changes state each time it gets an impulse. You may think it's just a fancy name for a bistableOK I admit it. However in the welding industry we used to use an 'impulse changeover relay' to control the direction of a d. c. motor used to oscillate a welding head between mechanical end stops. There was a roller-lever operated microswitch and two adjustable position blocks. Each time the microswitch hit a block, the relay changed over. How crude can you get? __ Designed by Richard Torrens
