Occupancy Detector -  In these circuits a transformer is used to isolate the detector circuitry from the track power circuit. [from Rob Paisley's Model Train web site]
Octuple Infrared Proximity Detectors Circuit -  The circuits on this page are for an Infrared - Proximity Detector using the Vishay Electronics - TSOP4830 "IR Receiver Modules for Remote Control Systems"…Scroll down to find this one…. [from Rob Paisley's Model Train web site]
On/Off Motor Controller with Brake -  Modern electronic speed controllers (ESCs) are very efficient, but they still have some drawbacks. An inexpensive ESC with two IRFZ40 MOSFETs has an on-resistance of 14 milliOhm. At 20A current, this means a voltage drop of 0.28V, and a power loss of 5.6W. Furthermore, to build an ESC with a brake generally requires an expensive P-channel MOSFET....[Stefan Vorketter]
One IC 2 Tones Siren Double Tone Police Sound Single Tone Old Ambulance Sound -  This circuit is intended for children fun, and is suitable to be installed on bicycles, battery powered cars and motorcycles, but also in models and other games. With SW1 positioned as shown in the circuit diagram it reproduces the typical dual tone sound of Police....(added 4/05)

One ounce rocket ejection timer -  This page describes the how to build a very small (1.5"x1.5", ~1 oz.) rocket ejection timer. I have tired to give as complete of instructions as possible, but you still might encounter problems. While it is possible to build this timer without printing a custom circuit board, I don't recomend it. In the past I....[contributed by Jonny Dyer]
One-IC two-tones Siren -  This circuit is intended for children fun, and is suitable to be installed on bicycles, battery powered cars and motorcycles, but also in models and other games. With SW1 positioned as shown in the circuit diagram it reproduces the typical dual tone sound of Police....added 4/05)
OpAmp - High Side Current Monitor -  The first circuit is a current monitor made with an LM358 OpAmp. While functional, the three diodes in the supply line make it unsuitable for most application….Circuit for model railroad trains…. [from Rob Paisley's Model Train web site]
OpAmp Stall-Motor Switch Machine Drivers -  The circuits on this page are switch machine drivers that can be used to operate Stall-Motor type switch machine motors. The circuits use LM324 Quad or 358 Dual operational Amplifier chips to provide a PUSH-PULL output to reverse the polarity of the supply to the switch machine motors. [from Rob Paisley's Model Train web site]
Optoisolator Block Occupancy Detector -  This page is about a block occupancy detector that uses an optoisolator to electrically separate the track from the detector output. Four variations of the detector are shown. [from Rob Paisley's Model Train web site]
[_OLD-ads-dont_upload/OLD I-ADS from web/ad-djandassoc.htm]
Pad launch Controller for model rockets -  (electronic circuit added 4/05)
Phase Shift Radio Direction Finder -  (electronic circuit added 4/05)
Phototransistor / Comparator / 555 Timer -  This page shows three circuits for using the 555 timer IC as a photocell controlled train detector.    The circuit is shown driving light emitting diodes but any load of less than 200 milliamps could be used…..Circuit for model railroad trains…. [from Rob Paisley's Model Train web site]
Phototransistor Circuit Test Voltmeter -  This circuit is designed to provide an inexpensive way to to create a High Impedance Voltmeter while making use of an inexpensive analog or digital multimeter.    The circuit is specifically designed for testing phototransistors when they are used in the circuits shown at this site. It has a very high input impedance that will not "Load Down" the sensor that is being checked....Circuit for model railroad trains…. [from Rob Paisley's Model Train web site]
PIC Based rocket altimeter -  (electronic circuit added 4/05)
Pine Racecar Victory Judge (Aaron Cake) -  (electronic circuit added 4/05)
PIR Video Camera Control -  Circuit for model railroad trains…. [from Rob Paisley's Model Train web site]
PNP - 3 Light Model Railroad Signal Circuit -  This page presents a 3 Light signal control circuit for model railroads. The circuit produces only solid - Red, Yellow and Green signal indications. The circuit can be wired for NORMAL and APPROACH type lighting of the Green signal. [from Rob Paisley's Model Train web site]
PNP - 3 Light Model Railroad Signals And PCB  -  Circuit for model railroad trains…. [from Rob Paisley's Model Train web site]
PNP - Search Light Model Railroad Signal -  Circuit for model railroad trains…. [from Rob Paisley's Model Train web site]
PNP - Search Light Model Railroad Signal Circuit -  This page presents a Search Light type signal control circuit for model railroads. The circuit is an adaptation of the PNP - 3 Light Model Railroad Signal Circuit shown on this site. [from Rob Paisley's Model Train web site]
Power Switch For Lights or Small Motors -  Circuit could be used to operate lights or small motors in either high or low mode….Circuit for model railroad trains…. [from Rob Paisley's Model Train web site]
Power-Up Reset For Monostable Timers -  Uses the LM555 timer or its cousins with other letter prefixes. There can be minor differences between 555 timer IC's from different manufacturers but they all should be useable for any circuit.   Designed for Model Trains…. [from Rob Paisley's Model Train web site]
Precision Digital Altimeter -  The current concept incorporates a wireless transmitter and receiver and is thought to be used for remote controlled airplanes or appliances with two seperate parts. In other words, we have one dedicated transmitter (acquisition, filtering) and one dedicated receiver part (user-interface, look-up table, calibration, storage), capable of being....(added 4/05)
Preselect Twin Coil Switch Machine Circuit -  Circuit for model railroad trains…. [from Rob Paisley's Model Train web site]
Project Dragon Fish: Joe Takes Rocket Science to New Depths -  Joe Peck has extended the pursuit of realism in model rocketry to the launch environment. Think Poseidon here — this rocket launches from underwater. Initially, it's sealed watertight from nose to nozzle. Ignition is triggered by bringing a magnet close to a sensor contained in the upper section. The motor ignites, blowing off the bottom end cap and we have liftoff! If you're into model rocketry, here's your next challenge.
PUJT & Voltage Comparator - Power On - Delay Circuits -  Circuit for model railroad trains…. [from Rob Paisley's Model Train web site]
Push Button Stop / Start Motor Control Circuits -  The circuits on this page are for motor controls using Push buttons and would typically be found in commercial and industrial installations. The circuits do not show the wiring of the motors themselves as this depends on the particular motor type. The type of motor also governs the number of contacts needed for the motor side of these circuits....Circuit for model railroad trains…. [from Rob Paisley's Model Train web site]
Push-In Terminals for 0.042" Dia. Holes -  This page shows a less expensive alternative to screw type terminal blocks for use on printed circuit boards. These are described as "Push-In Terminals for 0.042" Dia. Holes" and require soldering of external connections. [from Rob Paisley's Model Train web site]
Push-Pull - Crossing Light Flasher -  The next circuit uses a dual timer in a Push-Pull output arrangement. While this circuit would be sightly more expensive to build, it would make the wiring of the actual flasher mount simpler as only two connections would be needed.…..scroll down for this circuit....[from Rob Paisley's Model Train web site]
Quadruple Infrared Proximity Detectors Circuit -  The circuits on this page are for an Infrared - Proximity Detector using the Vishay Electronics - TSOP4830 "IR Receiver Modules for Remote Control Systems"…Scroll down to find this one…. [from Rob Paisley's Model Train web site]
